Client challenge:

During the huge growth of our client, a Danish logistics company, a large number of projects were started. The coordinated and targeted implementation of which should be be ensured by means of an IT project office. This required the establishment and the introduction of IT project portfolio management.

The task:

  • Support of the project office as an advisory body on methodological issues related to project implementation.
  • Support of agile project management standards to set up the IT project office for central project coordination.
  • Implementation of quality assurance measures, definition of standards for project documentation and support for setting up and coordinating the project’s own risk management.

Results:

Information on all planned and ongoing projects can be collected and processed via the central project office. This made it possible to act quickly on issues and by duplicating work, which in turn increased efficiency. A standardized project management method and the establishment of a structured way of working also ensured that there is now an updated overview of the projects with progress, and that a faster response to deadlines, resource or cost problems is possible.
